Decorating my Blog

I've been spending a fair bit of time blogging and something seemed amiss. And it hit me. No Catholic sacramentals. This is my online *home* and I wanted to have some beautiful reminders of my faith. I was half-tempted to copy some of the artwork in the new Campion Missal, but there are a number of free symbols available. You can see my choice -- it reflects my love of the traditional Roman Catholic rites. I even catch myself dreaming in Latin sometimes, singing the Gloria or Credo, or a bit of text from the Introit. I'm at Mass, where heaven and earth meet. I can no longer separate myself from my faith. By grace, it continues to grow.

Gorgeous.
Yes, your online home/homes should feel like home to you.

Where heaven and earth meet -- yes! And how amazing and precious to be dreaming in Latin.

Mirka, it's feeling a lot more like home to me now :)

I find it odd to be saying things I do not understand. I know a few prayers in Latin, but usually need a translation for many of the psalms.

I don't dream in Latin much anymore, but I did when I was singing in choir. It was funny how I could remember entire psalms and hymns in my dreams--wake up to knowing the words, even--that I could never recall in the daytime.
I love your new "description", by the way, as well as the decorating. :)

Thank you ladies. I've grown a lot since five years when I started blogging.

And Faith, songs do have a way of sticking inside our memory banks, no? Some of my favorite prayers are the psalms.

I agree. Make it feel like home! Sorry I haven't been around much, but I miss you, too, my friend!
