The Sweetest Things

I've not tasted a watermelon as juicy and sweet as our homegrown one. We've watched it grow for weeks, even as fiddler crabs tried to pierce through the skin (they succeeded with the cantaloupe but I picked it before they could damage it further and ate it before it ripened completely). Dagny picked this melon and captured the sweetness on film. Can't you just taste it? Heaven!

Wow, she did a great job! That burst of sunlight looks phenomenal! Also, I don't think I've ever mentioned it, but I love her name. =)

Those photos! Max isn't the only one handy with a camera, huh?
Now I'm craving melon, but we're firmly into fall here. Acorn squash and applesauce with dinner tonight. :)

You do a great job, repeatedly, of making me wan to to move in with you and yours, Vijaya.

Leandra, thank you on both counts. Dagny suits my daughter perfectly ... it means new day in Old Norse. We named her after a book character. Atlas Shrugged.

Faith, the kids love sun-flares and take lots of pics at that moment. Whenever we watch movies, we notice those now. And I love all the winter squashes, esp. acorn sq.

Mirka, I would love a visit! Come!
