Ah, the life of a teacher -- we have lots of those in our family and it's true, summertime is the time for all those pet projects.

Don't tell me about car keys -- it's already happened :) but the answer is still NO. My son was born car-crazy.Vijayahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07876606729146077830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6221151616674180073.post-38742473011084126252008-07-02T09:19:00.000-04:002008-07-02T09:19:00.000-04:00Your photos of your flowers are lovely, Vijaya! First the daffodils and the tulips, then the big showy peonies and mountain laurel and now the roses, lilies, daisies and hydrangeas. I'm also looking forward to my first home grown tomatoes.

I need to write a little every day, too. The summer is when I write the most. When I'm working, I'm often too tired.

Enjoy you kids. Before you know it, they'll be asking you for the car keys.Stellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15321805301687762360noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6221151616674180073.post-44817999229733357402008-07-02T09:14:00.000-04:002008-07-02T09:14:00.000-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Stellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15321805301687762360noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6221151616674180073.post-61300724908960232282008-07-01T00:44:00.000-04:002008-07-01T00:44:00.000-04:00Oh, Jacqui, I needed to have some validation for l...Oh, Jacqui, I needed to have some validation for lazy days. We call the Kalmia "mountain laurel" here in the east and your picture was an instant, poignant reminder to me of my parents. My mother loved wild flowers, and the western NC mountains where she and Dad spent 28 years of retirement were abundant with the mountain laurel and rhododendron in the springtime. Mom used to say that blossoms of the mountain laurel reminded her of the big, hooped skirts Southern ladies used to wear.

Glad you're enjoying your relaxed summer days with your kids.
Blessings,
EvEvelynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09458293325369594900noreply@blogger.com
