A Fuzzy-Fast Blur

We all loved this book of poems by Laura Purdie Salas. Here's a review by my seven-year-old daughter:
*
A Fuzzy-Fast Blur is a good book because it has nice poems. My favorite two poems are Say "Yes" and Jumping For Joy.
*
I liked Say "Yes" because the girl always wants a wild animal instead of a house pet.
*
I liked Jumping for Joy because it has a picture of a dog catching a Frisbee in mid-air. The words describe exactly how my dog is in the summer.
*
Here is Jumping for Joy:
*
tail spinning, whipping,
joy meets toy in mid-air catch:
leap of summer faith.

Thanks, Vijaya! And thank you to your daughter, too. I'm so glad you both enjoyed the book.

I'm trying to decide which poems to share at some upcoming school visits, so I'm happy to have your input:>)

Sounds like a very nice book. I LOVE the haiku. (Thank you Bash0.)

You're welcome, Laura. When I work with younger kids, I like doing acrostics -- it's easiest, visual, and much fun.

You should've heard my daughter, saying, "Oh" and "Ah" ... and we're looking forward to Stampede!

I love the haiku best, Bish. So much captured in so few words.
