The dog loves the kittens ... and they love to cuddle up with her.
Down-time. As you can see, we are a family that loves relaxing. Nothing beats cuddling up with a cat right after school, before homework and football practice.
The 17-year-old brown cat tolerates the kittens just so he can be with us.
The 12-year-old
tortie does not like to be in the middle of mayhem. She has always slept with our son and does not join all the commotion in the family room in the afternoons. Here she claims a Highlights.
Looks like these two are already beginning to look like the kitten!
Look at us lazy parents. When our kids were little, they'd join us for afternoon naps. Now they're too busy running amok with the camera.
I'm ready for the weekend. How about you?

I love these pictures! They are so sweet and full of love.
Is it just me or does that cat have two different color eyes? He is so unique and gorgeous!
What great pictures! They're all cute, but the dog/cat one is SO sweet. Yeah, bring on the weekend!
Thanks Donna, the black cat does have two different colored eyes. She's a sweetie ... you put your hand out and she'll begin to purr.
Marcia thank you. Luckily the camera was right there so I could snap the picture. But I needn't have worried. Those two snuggled for quite a while.
I love it when a dog and cat snuggle up together like that. I imagine you probably have to introduce the cats to the dog as kittens though. I don't think my cats would go for it.
Melissa, you're right. My two old cats never cuddle up to the dog. Kittens don't know any better ... and isn't it the sweetest thing?
Love it, Vijaya. I miss you. We only have one cat to cuddle with, but we are not the cuddly family. I don't take many naps.
Molly, I think of you often and miss you too. But naps are essential to this family ... my writing career started with a nap and it is such a refreshing habit, I don't know why more people don't adopt it. Try it. I'm glad you have a cat.
What wonderful pictures, Vijaya! I love them. And I'm so glad you have your pets to bring you at least a bit of ease with your migraines.
Thank you, Ev. Pets know how to cuddle up best. They always make me feel good.
Such sweet photos, Vijaya. I'm glad I had a chance to stop by and catch up on your blog!
Laura, thank you for stopping by and for writing to me ... it means so much to reconnect.
