I typed those two wonderful words "The End" to the first draft of DAMAGED on Wed. I raced through the last 10K ... it's all plot, sort of how my kids tell a story (this happened, then that, etc.) but I am breathless and happy and relieved.
Is it possible that this momentous event happened because my modem was dead all week and I couldn't get online? Methinks ...
Two hours later, my lesson packet arrived from ICL, but I took the night off to snuggle with all the pets and watch a movie.

Congratulations Vijaya!
I'm waiting for that day:-)
A cosmic high five! You did it! Way to go, Vijaya.
Congratulations on getting to The End. That's so exciting. Now the real fun begins, revision.
Congrats! I love getting through the draft and getting to revising.
Congratulations! Now have fun fleshing out the story & perfecting it!!
Thank you so much ladies. Even though there's a ton of work ahead of me, I know this will be a book someday.
Yay, congrats! How funny that it took a broken modem to help you get it done. Love that!
Wooo-hooo, that's GREAT!
Anne, the Internet is a double-edged sword, and I'm learning to be disciplined.
I'm still basking in being finished for now ... of course, my kids keep me busy all day, so it's not like I'm itching to revise at night. Once school starts though, I'll need to buckle down and get to work.
Congratulations -- and yes, I do know what you've got ahead of you, but it still feels great, doesn't it?
I think I need to disconnect my internet -- or somehow get away from it. I know how satisfying it is to write 'The End' and I long to do it soon myself.
Thank you, Mary. You have a lot on your plate right now with moving and getting settled, but I know you will type your own "the End" soon.
Oh, Amen!
