Summer

So much happening -- getting together with friends, both new and old, dentist appointments, schlepping kids to football and soccer practice (yes, the madness has begun), and this means it's time to get ready for school. I'm not ready ... there are still a million little things I need and want to do with my kids. This summer went by too fast ...

My son took a thousand pictures this summer and I'm so happy because now I can share a few of them with you. And since a picture is worth a thousand words ... well, I needn't say much. Grin.

There's been much hissing:

and clawing:
and cuddling:

and meowing:
and sniffing:
and stealing of dolly beds:
and intent listening to Warrior books:

There was also camping:
and gathering of lavender to make sachets, which the kittens often play with:

And sometimes we simply watched the dewdrops on the spiderweb ...

I hope you've all had a fabulous summer.

There's nothing like a housefull of cats. (Oh, and a dog). I love the cat in the doll bed. Good for your son for taking these great pictures.

Wow, that dewdrops picture is especially cool! And I have one of my own cats that's SO close to the "one paw on the other" pic. My cats are even very similarly colored, and it's the "same" cat doing the touching in mine. Good for your son for pursuing his interest.

Thank you, ladies. The dewdrops one is my favorite. But I love, love, love all the kitty pictures. Plus, I've been so busy (cleaning out the cat boxes) it's nice he's snapping the pictures and getting different perspectives that only a kid would think of. I've got some bizarro ones. He really enjoys drawing and designing ... and we'll see where that leads him.

Marcia, mine are so close to yours it's uncanny.
