I see lots of pretty Halloween decorations. I am more in favor of the harvest variety (pumpkins, hay, etc.) than ghouls and goblins, but I was charmed by this little broom amidst the pansies.

Suma, it is really fun being here, and from what I hear from the natives, it's nice 10 months out of the year. The two summer months can be oppressively hot and humid, but when you have the beach, life's a beach ...

I love that little broom- very tasteful. I'm not into scary decorations, either. When we first moved back to America, my kids were terrified of everything Halloween because they'd never seen anything like it before. We stick to hay and scarecrows and pumpkins around here.

Amy -- Halloween was a very scary holiday for me when I first moved to this country and I was 14. I still don't like anything macabre. I much prefer All Souls Day and All Saints Day!

Oh.. and I am not a halloween fan, either. I love autumn, though, and all the things that go with it! Leaves, pumpkins, perfect days with no humidity! :)
